We are currently seeking an experienced equipment operator. Duties include, but not limited to, operate a skid steer (joystick) and 20-foot trailer.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Performs preventative maintenance inspections.
· Routine servicing, and minor repairs on equipment
· Detail-oriented: a keen eye for detail and precision in operational tasks.
· Loading and unloading equipment from transportation vehicle
· Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot.
· Equipment Maintenance: Tracking, scheduling, performing maintenance of equipment and notifying direct supervisor if maintenance is needed to ensure optimal functionality of equipment.
· Perform routine pre-trip/post trip inspections on equipment.
· Problem Solving: Use sound judgment when interaction with co-workers and customers, fostering positive relationships and resolving challenges professionally.
· Routine check of skid steer, i.e., hydraulic fluids, wiper fluid, oil, air intake filter, and antifreeze
· Sweep debris, i.e., dirt, mud, and gravel collected on street and curbs.
· Adjust/maintain erosion controls, i.e. silt sock, dandy bags, EPA control, silt trap maintenance, etc.
· Project Prioritization: Effectively prioritize tasks and assignments, paying meticulous attention to detail to achieve superior results.
· Able to effectively maneuver skid steer on streets where other trade vehicles and equipment are parked and/or moving.
· Ensure the safety of pedestrians while operating skid steer.
Qualifications:
· Two Years Experience Preferred: Proven experience in operating skid steers, interchanging attachments, loading and unloading skid steer onto and off a 20-foot trailer.
· Ability to read SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) desired (training provided).
· Technical Aptitude: Competence in the preventative maintenance of skid steer and attachments.
· Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail and precision in removing debris from newbuild residential construction sites.
· Leadership Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and make sound decisions.
· Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact professionally with team members, and customers.
· Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
· Excellent Driving Record.
· Ability to work outside in inclement weather.
· Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, driver’s test, background check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
· Willing to work some Saturdays.
Compensation:
